Top issues during term (3)
election lawsuit over poll worker hiring
Racine taxpayers could end up covering legal defense costs and extra election-staff time, with possible pricey changes if the court orders new hiring practices.
city administration appointment
No dollar figures are attached yet, but the city administrator helps shape budgets and daily spending, so Sullivan’s priorities could affect city services and costs.
brownfield redevelopment
The city could spend on cleanup and incentives upfront, but the payoff is a bigger tax base and new investment on a site that wasn’t generating much.
